| Eight-sided edifice which can be seen in the photo is Diocletian`s Mausoleum, and together with the Romanesque bell-tower from the 12th century today creates Split cathedral of St. Dujam, the patron of Split. Mausoleum is full of monumental and cultural heritage and therefore it is an unavoidable attraction for every guest. The bell-tower, which was brought down in the 19th century and renewed at the beginning of the 20th century, today dominates the view and is one of the symbols of the city. |
