Split in words and photos - Jupiter`s temple – the baptistery |
| Although its outer appearance doesn`t suggest it, the interior of the temple, which was transformed into a baptistery in the Middle Ages, is the real treasury of valuable monumental heritage. The central plaque of the baptismal font is dominated by the image of a Croatian monarch on the throne. Apart from the two medieval sarcophaguses you can also see the statue of St. John the Baptist work of the most famous Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović. |
